Week 1
In Week 1, Dr. Yip Jinchi gave us an overview of the module and introduced
the other lecturers who will be guiding us in the upcoming tutorials. She
also asked us to fill out a Google Form based on our specialization in
preparation for the tutorials.

In Week 3, we were assigned to our respective tutorial lecturers, and I was
placed under Mr. Asrizal. During the tutorial session, he briefed us on our
first assignment, which is the research proposal. We are required to conduct
research on a topic related to animation.

This week, Dr. Jinchi briefed us on Task 3: Primary Research. She showed us
some examples to help us understand the requirements. After the briefing, we
returned to Mr. Asrizal for further consultation and guidance on our
individual projects.

This week, Dr. Jinchi briefed us on the final task, Task 4. We are required to summarize the content from Task 1 to Task 3 and compile them into Task 4, along with a cover page. Additionally, for Task 4, we need to record a presentation based on our research.

Week 4
This week, Mr. Asrizal informed me that my theme was not suitable. He
explained that I should focus on examining the effects of
animation—specifically whether it enhances engagement, makes the content
more emotionally impactful, and improves delivery. He suggested I explore
elements such as engagement or emotion in relation to animation style. He
emphasized that this should be the direction of my research, and I now have
a clearer understanding of what is expected.
Week 5
In Week 5, Mr. Asrizal approved my research theme, but he advised me to make
some changes to the research objectives to better align with the focus of my
study.
✿ REFLECTION ✿
In Task 1, I initially struggled to come up with a clear theme for my assignment. I felt quite lost and unsure about what direction to take. To overcome this, I began researching online and exploring various topics. Eventually, I came across an interesting subject that caught my attention—the combination of 2D and 3D in animation. This discovery gave me a sense of direction and motivation to move forward with my work. Through this process, I learned that taking the time to explore and research can help spark ideas and open up creative possibilities.
