✿ PROJECT 2: DATA COLLECTION ✿
Following our weekly feedback session with Mr. Asrizal, we realized the need
to recalibrate our approach to better reflect the essence of Kopitiam
culture. Mr. Asrizal astutely pointed out our overemphasis on materialistic
aspects, urging us to shift our focus towards the intangible elements such
as atmosphere and the relationships cultivated during a customer's visit.
In response, we convened as a group and embarked on a brainstorming session
aimed at integrating these core cultural values into our project. Here's a
summary of what we devised:

After completing the data collection process, we synthesized our findings into
a succinct and visually engaging PowerPoint presentation. This presentation
serves as a comprehensive summary of our research efforts, beginning with an
overview of objectives and methodology. Through carefully crafted slides, we
effectively communicate key insights and trends derived from the collected
data using graphs, charts, and descriptive text. Each slide is designed to
highlight specific data points, facilitating a clear understanding of the
findings. By maintaining a logical narrative flow and incorporating visual
elements, such as images and icons, we ensure that our audience can easily
comprehend the significance of the research outcomes. Ultimately, this
presentation empowers stakeholders to make informed decisions based on the
insights gleaned from our data analysis.

✿ REFLECTION ✿
On-site data collection proved to be an exhilarating aspect of this project.
Visiting various styles of Kopitiams offered an immersive experience,
allowing me to delve into the heart of each establishment. Conducting
interviews with both supervisors and owners presented a unique challenge,
one that I had not encountered before. However, this unfamiliar task became
an opportunity for growth as I gained valuable insights into the history and
narratives behind each Kopitiam. It was a gratifying experience to witness
firsthand the vibrant ambiance of these establishments and observe the
palpable connection they shared with the local community. Sitting amidst the
bustling atmosphere of the Kopitiams further deepened my appreciation for
the cultural significance embedded within these spaces, reinforcing the
importance of real-life experiences in understanding and preserving cultural
heritage.
