✿ FINAL TASK: ABSTARCT MOTION ✿

1.0 RESEARCH

REQUIREMENT:
1. Students are to use information for any proposed channel (*existing or fictional)
• create mood-board that reflects their concept/idea
• storyboard
• animatics
• explore appropriate audio to uplift the motion tempo

2.0 DIGITALIZATION

After I clarified the requirements, I began creating the mood board and storyboard for my final task.

First, I began by roughly sketching out my ideas in Procreate. This initial step was crucial for clarifying my vision and establishing a clear direction for the project. By creating these preliminary sketches, I was able to visualize the key elements and overall flow of the video, ensuring that I had a solid foundation before moving on to the more detailed aspects of the mood board and storyboard.

After sketching out the storyboard, I began searching for elements online. This involved finding images, colors, and other visual components that would enhance my project and align with the concept I had developed.

I removed the background from the character so that I could use it in my project.

After finding all the elements I wanted to use, I animated my sketches to determine if they fit well with the video. This step helped me establish the order and flow of the video, ensuring that the sequence worked as intended before proceeding with the final animation.

After that, I started using After Effects to create my final project.

Figure 2.8 Process

I utilized the technique taught by Mr. Fauzi to create a spinning effect for the card. This technique involved applying specific animation principles and keyframes in After Effects, allowing me to achieve a dynamic and engaging rotation that enhanced the visual appeal of the final project.

After introducing the INFP, I wanted the character to return to its card. To accomplish this, I applied the same technique once more, ensuring a smooth transition as the character seamlessly moved back into the card.

After finishing all the individual scenes, I proceeded to combine them into a single, cohesive sequence. This involved carefully aligning each scene to ensure a smooth flow and continuity throughout the video. I made sure to adjust transitions and timings so that the final project was seamless and visually engaging. This process helped to unify all elements into a polished and well-structured final piece.

✿ REFLECTION ✿

Reflecting on the final task, the project was a comprehensive journey from concept to completion. I started by sketching my initial ideas in Procreate, which provided a clear direction for the mood board and storyboard. This foundational work was crucial in visualizing the overall concept and ensuring coherence throughout the project. Finding and integrating the right elements, including removing backgrounds and animating sketches, allowed me to test and refine the flow and timing of the video effectively.

Applying techniques taught by Mr. Fauzi, such as the card-spinning effect, significantly enhanced the visual appeal of the final piece. Ensuring smooth transitions and cohesive scenes required meticulous attention to detail. Combining all elements into a single sequence highlighted my ability to execute a well-structured animation. This task reinforced the importance of a structured approach and demonstrated my growth in creating engaging and polished motion graphics.
